There is no denying the fact that English has become the language of science and technology in the global scenario for teaching the same. Considering the global scenario, today a large number of students take admission in professional science courses than in the past. Therefore, it is imperative to find out the difficulties of these students in using English to ascertain their excellence in today's education system. In India too, English is widely used in the field of science and technology. This also applies to agricultural education. In our country, agricultural education is becoming more and more important as agriculture is considered the backbone of the country, and therefore the present study is important. Taking into consideration the importance of using English, the study was conducted with the following specific objectives. 1. Study the educational background of students,2. Examine students' attitudes towards the current English language course, and3. To ascertain the constraints faced by students in learning English. Methodology The study was conducted at the eight agricultural institutes of all four UAAs. For each university, two colleges were chosen, one constituent and one private affiliated. Fifty students were randomly selected from each university. The questionnaire was the main instrument used in the data collection of this study. It is used to gather information from the students' point of view regarding the issues undertaken.
