Bonaparte was one of the greatest rulers who ever lived, he had created a vast empire that had immense reach across the world during his time, he had taken the position of Louis XVI which is the prime example of why there should not be a blood relationship regarding who is placed in the position of power in an autocratic system. Ironically, one of the things that resonated most with the French people at the time when Bonaparte was very harsh was meritocracy. Meritocracy is giving someone a position based on skills and expertise rather than other factors such as relationship with an individual, this was very important because the French people were tired of incompetent people ruling the country. It was no longer the rich who got all the jobs, now it was who could get the best, which made it possible to establish a much smoother system. This case is important to evaluate because in my government we will not follow bloodlines and create dynasties where families rule for centuries at a time, rather we will have a system based on meritocracy where any role at any level goes to those who are most competent and with the ability to perform
