Apple Inc.(iPod)Apple Inc, formerly Apple Computer Inc. is an American multinational company specializing in the design and manufacturing of consumer electronics and the development of software products. Apple was founded in Cupertino, California on April 1, 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. Apple is developing, selling and supporting a variety of personal computers, portable media players, mobile phones, computer software, hardware and hardware accessories. iPod, the new way to listen to music (first and second generation). products, the iPod has been the most successful product since its introduction on October 23, 2001. The first iPods used Toshiba 5GB hard drives the size of a quarter, ARM processors (the same processors used in the Newton and Acorn), a Pixo's operating system, a large high-resolution display, a lithium-polymer battery and the most recognizable aesthetic feature of the device which is the scroll wheel. This first iPod was introduced as a Mac-compatible product with a 5GB hard drive that puts "1,000 songs in your pocket." This product received a moderately good response from consumers, although many of them complained about the lack of compatibility with Windows and the high price of $400. To respond to the consumer, a special iPod is available for the 2002 holiday season which consists of 20 GB of storage space, compatible with Windows PC via MusicMatch. This era was also significant for the iPod, i.e. the advent of iTunes in 2002. This iTunes helped users to download and purchase their favorite songs on the Internet. Since the first two generations of iPod, it has proven effective in penetrating the mp3 music industry. , another hardware revision arrived in April 2003, bringing the iPod into the third generation. This new iPod has a hardware revision, which had no mechanical buttons and the function buttons were moved to just below the screen and were solid state like the scroll wheel (Fig.2). This version supported both FireWire and USB 2.0 and improved its storage capacity from 10GB to 40GB. Introduction of iPod Mini In order to compete with the market leader of the mp3 industry dominated by high-end flash players and penetrate the market, Apple introduced its newest member of the iPod family, the iPod mini in January 2004(Fig 3) . Unlike the iPod, the iPod mini has 5 different colors: blue, green, pink, silver and gold. This iPod mini has smaller screens and larger storage capacity than any flash player on the market, plus a lower price than the regular version which is $249.
