Think of just one word to describe Johnny Depp. It's difficult, right? Johnny Depp is an actor who brings such an electrifying presence to the big screen that no other actor has ever done before. This is mainly due to the numerous characters he has played throughout his acting career. His characters range from dark and scary to hilarious and downright bizarre, and his ability to transform into anyone and create such dark and strange characters is surprisingly remarkable. While many actors only stick to what is comfortable for them, Johnny Depp is able to go further with every role he receives. Actors like Jennifer Aniston or Adam Sandler tend to have very similar characters in every part they play (D'Arpino 2). You often know what to expect from them. Johnny Depp, on the other hand, always manages to surprise his audience and leave them in suspense. Three films that truly show Johnny Depp's true dedication to method acting and wide range of characters throughout his career are Edward Scissorhands, Don Juan de Marco, and Pirates of the Caribbean. His roles in these films are very diverse and show his ability to explore and develop various characters. This is what makes him the amazing and eccentric actor he is today. Johnny Depp had a very tough and disorganized childhood. At the age of 16 he dropped out of high school to join a trash band, The Kids (Linden 1).
