Most people believe that watching television is a relaxing experience where they can relieve the stress of everyday life; however, viewers of reality shows are often more stressed than before. A perfect example of this is reality shows about nanny rescues like Nanny 911. The reality show Nanny 911 consists of a group of three nannies, Nanny Yvonne, Nanny Debra, and Nanny Stella, who are chosen for their roles. area of expertise to go and help messy families in the space of a week. The nanny chooses one of them to try to tame the out-of-control children and teach the stressed parents how to effectively raise their children. The show reveals major events that happen in the family throughout the week and highlights major meltdowns and breakthroughs that occur with children and parents. Overall the show is stressful, redundant, and often over-dramatized, and would make even the calmest parent want to hit the kids. The show Tata 911 is a stressful show to watch due to the children crying and screaming in all its episodes. This entire show highlights children with horrible behavior and shows how ineffective some of these people's parenting styles really are. After a thirty-nine minute episode you're left stressed out with your heart pounding, wondering how these kids haven't killed someone yet. An example of this can be found in the first episode of the first season. In this episode titled “The Rock Family” nanny Debra has to help Matt and Karen with their two children. Their four-year-old son Dylan hits his mother, tells her what to do and curses at her. He acts like the adult in the family and gets everything his way. For him to sleep, his mother must sleep... in the middle of paper... sold all over the world. This pushes teenagers and other young adults to do unruly things to try to earn a place in the spotlight. Even though reality television should be a great source of entertainment and can make us happy right now, if not watched carefully and really thought about it could ruin someone's life with its negative values.
