Recruiting is the process of identifying and attracting potential employees to an organization. Every engineering company must have an effective recruitment strategy that allows them to attract and retain high-quality employees. The key to an effective recruiting strategy is to have one that fits your budget, time capacity and company. Therefore, it is recommended that the engineering company starts with appropriate predictive measures where it develops plans to fill future job opportunities based on available internal and external talent. Recruitment could be conducted internally through promotion of current employees or through referrals from employees and other external sources. Internal recruiting is generally the most cost-effective recruiting approach for organizations. This method has a very low cost compared to other methods and is also completely controlled by internal recruiting managers who are more aligned with the company mission and goals. Through internal hiring, the individual is already familiar with the organization and its practices, and vice versa. Furthermore, internal recruitment also increases morale and motivation in the workplace. Because the engineering profession is so technical, it is advisable for the company to promote internally because employees are already familiar with the technical skills and expertise needed to succeed within the organization. The downside of internal recruiting strategies is that they don't hire new employees with different skills and perspectives. This also results in poor morale of employees not selected for promotion. In these cases, the organization must hire from external sources. The organization is also encouraged to recruit externally via referr...... middle of paper ...... management position holders. It is their job to effectively recruit the employees they believe are most qualified through internal sources, external sources and completion of the RJP. Recruiting a qualified potential employee results in a useful training and development phase for the company because it is beneficial for the new employee's long-term career development. It is essential that management adheres to the system proposed by the organization and implements it to achieve maximum effectiveness of its employees. The recommended performance management strategies increase the new employee's motivation and will most likely lead to a successful career in the company. A human resource management system through which all departments of the company are integrated, can improve the efficiency of all individuals in the company and therefore the company's profits.
