Robert Buck once said, "If children can't learn the way we teach, then we must teach the way they learn." The Wilson Language Program was popularized to amplify this mentality. Dyslexia is a disease common in 10 to 15 percent of the United States, where a human has difficulty learning to read or interpret words, letters, and other symbols. Programs are attempting to end as much of the distress caused by dyslexia as possible. Emerging programs, such as the Wilson Language Program, are doing their best to begin working with children at a young age with mild signs of this common problem. Identifying dyslexia early in life offers greater assurance that your child's future will have few if any setbacks or disadvantages to success. In order to improve the regressive literacy of dyslexic individuals, the Wilson Language Program is progressively implemented in regular schooling to ensure that reading standards are met, through structure, hours of research, abundant practice and concrete evidence. The Wilson Language program is structured to function as an intervention and can assist struggling readers in grades 2 through 12 to learn word construction by directly instructing students to decode and encode with confidence.
