The death penalty should not be abolished in China The death penalty is one of the oldest punishments in the world, it means the end of the criminal's life by law. Nowadays, the question of whether the death penalty should be abolished in China is still a controversial topic. Many people think that the death penalty is a bad way to punish criminals because this method violates humanitarianism and is also a little cruel. Furthermore, two third countries in the world have abolished it. Many people say our country should do the same thing. However, in China, the death penalty is essential. Punishment bases its existence on the national condition, the legal system and human nature. First, China has a very complex national condition. As we all know, China has the largest population in the world, and people belong to many different nations, as well as different religions. These factors mean that our country must adopt severe legal measures to control the social order starting from the foundations. People are afraid of the death penalty, so the vast majority of them will not commit crimes. But if our government abolished the death penalty, what would happen? Recently, the incident at Kunming Railway Station caused great social unrest, if the criminals are not executed, the same thing may happen from time to time. Furthermore, murders perhaps happen every day, corruption perhaps becomes more and more serious… If so, who can protect us? How could we make our daily lives normal? Many may say that as of 2009, there are 92 countries in the world that have abolished the death penalty (Baidu Encyclopedia), and most of them have a stable and peaceful society. Of course, it's true. But we can see that most of these countries are developed countries, especially in Europe. They... middle of paper... humiliated. In prison, criminals have no freedom. And capital punishment is one way to end it all. Third, because China's population is too large and the national quality is a bit low. This method can become a wake-up call in people's hearts and has benefits for maintaining social order. The death penalty is a good system of constraints on their behavior. Therefore, in today's China, the death penalty should not be abolished. In conclusion, although the death penalty has some flaws, we can reform it to make it more suitable for our society. However, because there are so many complex factors, the death penalty should not be abolished in China. 4cpEVMBVMIyhttp://bbs.0516k.com/thread-999531-1- 1.html
