Topic > Tips for Improving the City's Accounting Department

As a general overview, this document will address the challenges of the City of Menlo Park's accounting department. The interest of this short essay or article lies in the interest in the impact of my future career goals and other personal projects. In my career as an accountant in the private sector, I have worked for many different companies. The difficulties and usual economic instability of the private sector have put my career goals on hold and merit based on hard work is often deemed unrecognizable. Finding stable work in the competitive private sector has been difficult and unrewarding. Therefore, I turned to the public or government workplace to see if I could set my path there. At first I was indifferent to the type of environment the public sector offered, but I quickly changed my perspective when I was offered a job with the city of Menlo Park. Through the process of writing this essay, I hope to be able to diagnose and identify problems that exist in my workplace. I am trying to find the causes of the existing challenges we are currently facing. If I can find the root cause of the problems, I would like to make an effort to improve the working conditions in our department and maybe it is contagious enough to affect other departments. I am very optimistic that this project can help me prepare an action plan to solve some of the problems that exist in my work. I would really like to create a positive long-term outlook in the organization where I hope to end my career. Seeking stability, I was fortunate to land a job in the city of Menlo Park as a lead accountant. In my opinion, I think government work is more stable and the long-term financial reward is better. However, I would… middle of the paper… because of his decision. This will create the necessary transparency and openness in making the decision. Employees don't have to agree with your decision but at least they will know the reasoning behind it. In conclusion, the leader of an organization must communicate a clear vision. Leadership can be at any level of the organization. References Employee turnover. (2008). AgriMarketing, 46(8), 16.
