Abortion is the medical procedure used to terminate a pregnancy and cause the death of a fetus. Because abortion is such a controversial issue, there are many conflicting opinions about it. For example, many people believe that abortion is cruel because it is simply the inhumane act of killing an innocent unborn child. On the other hand, others believe that it is a woman's fundamental right to choose how to deal with a fetus growing in her stomach. This is especially true in certain situations such as rape, incest, or life-threatening health issues. In summary, ending a child's life using rather horrific procedures is not only an immoral procedure, but is also morally wrong from a psychological, social and religious perspective. Taking a life is purely immoral. How about taking a life that has no say or power to stop such an act? The young fetus growing in the mother's womb has no choice, no power and no say in saving its life. Their entire future is destroyed. There are many reasons people use as an excuse to have an abortion. Some perhaps considered selfish and others reasonable. This however does not change the fact that it is immoral. For example, cases such as a teenager's negligence in using contraceptives or even protection during sexual intercourse are considered selfish and reckless reasons for abortion. According to statistics, 18% of American teenagers choose to abort their fetus for this reason. Furthermore, many adolescents choose to have an abortion because the father of the fetus chooses to be irresponsible and not take full control over the child. Another unacceptable reason is the case of a married couple who completely ignored protection and became pregnant... middle of paper... never, the abortion rate has decreased compared to previous years. Abortion is wrong if used for selfish reasons. There are many other ways you can do to prevent miscarriage. Also, there are ethical reasons why people don't support it. Alternatively, adoption can be used, since the fetus can cause harmful effects on the mother. Furthermore, the most important and ethical reason not to abort a child is simply the immoral act of taking an innocent life. People should raise awareness about this topic. Furthermore, laws and regulations should be adopted so that abortion does not have to be legalized. Abortion is a murderous act and it is unjust to decide to take the life of an unborn child. Imagine if your parents decided to take your life? You wouldn't have ended up in this world. Aside from the fact that it's ethically wrong, it wouldn't be unfair to you??
