The classic Cinderella fairy tale easily connects with three different social science perspectives: anthropology, sociology, and psychology. Anthropology, being the study of cultures, relates to Cinderella in regards to how the characters were raised through their cultural background. The perspective of sociology – people within groups and social structures – explains how and why different conflicts arise within history. Psychology studies mental processes and behavior, analyzing Cinderella's Freudian decisions and what her mental state may have been in the fairy tale. Anthropological study can explain how characters' values ​​and learning of rules are dramatically influenced by their cultural background. In the story, after Cinderella's mother died, she "remained pious and good" (Grimm, 1812). He visited his grave every day and cried, showing his sense of responsibility and reluctance to neglect his loved ones. She also demonstrated a sense of respect for her family, agreeing to become a maid without question. Furthermore, knowing their financial situation, he asked for a twig only when his father went to the fair. Through these personality traits, it is evident that she was raised with enforced rules and good values. Cinderella's stepsisters, on the other hand, were mean and rude. They were “beautiful, with fair faces, but evil and dark hands” (Grimm, 1812). They laughed at the way Cinderella was dressed and deliberately threw the peas into the ashes to give her an extra task. They were also very greedy and asked their stepfather to buy them jewelry and clothes when he went to the fair.
