Topic > Drugs in Sports Offer an Unfair Advantage - 591

My topic is drugs in sports. My opinion on Drug in Sports is that it is wrong and gives an unfair advantage to users. Doping (taking banned drugs to improve performance) in professional sports is illegal. Many people take drugs because it makes them better at their sports. For some athletes, together with doping there is the possibility of obtaining sporting, personal and economic rewards. To many people, the difference between failure and victory may seem as small as a pill in the palm of someone's hand. Taking drugs gives them an unfair advantage, enhancing their athletic improvement. Because athlete drugging is a complex issue and an interaction between many factors. One factor is social pressure to succeed. Another reason is that they are striving for victory in personal fulfillment. Athletes can also fall victim to accidental use by taking over-the-counter medications that contain banned substances. What are the different types of medications? Well, there are three common types of medications: pills, medications, and injections. The only medicines or pills that should be used are those to treat sports injuries or treat an illness. Those that give an unfair advantage should not be used. The medicine is intended for people with health problems. Unhealthy athletes just do it for an advantage in their games. One of the most common things that athletes use are inhalers, which are meant for people with asthma, the reason athletes use it is because it increases their oxygen supply so they can do things for longer without doing a break. One method of injections is blood doping. Blood doping occurs when the number of red blood cells increases. This causes more oxygen to be transported to the user's muscles than any other person not subjected to blood doping. Bloo......middle of paper......safe for players." Drug Policy Alliance.
