In Mackay's article, “the sale of organs is morally wrong and violates the dignity of the human person”. Most likely, this statement was believed by a healthy individual who did not require a vital organ to save his life. We often think that morals and ethics apply to our daily lives, but when fear intrudes into all of this, what do we stand for? How can we face death with direct perception if we know a way to prevent ourselves from dying? Some might say that it is immoral and that sales only benefit the rich. Mackay explains how “it only helps the rich but exploits the poorest in third world countries”. If a person takes such an extreme measure, would it be moral to do so out of the goodness of their heart rather than to earn a certain amount of money? That said, we always hear the saying "you can't put a price on your life", but in this situation Mackay clearly demonstrates that.
