There are many different views on this, which is ultimately as it should be. Some Americans support it, others oppose it. Most Americans, however, oppose this and say that although a child born to a teenage mother is harmful for medical reasons, and therefore abortion is necessary, it is even more harmful to terminate the pregnancy because it is effectively “death of an embryo or fetus” (Webster, 1).
