today's organization The business environment of today's organizations is different from the business environment of 25 years ago. Every business era presents unique challenges. A challenge that continues across all environments is how the organization plans to succeed. Communication is an important aspect of organizational planning. Furthermore, organizational planning should include different types of environments. Different business environments include business, general, and international (Daft, 2013, p. 148). The business environment of the 1990s did not have the advanced social media and video conferencing technology available today. Author T. Toperczer (2011) discusses that in the 1990s, only one type of video conferencing equipment was available. Therefore, planning and communication between departments occurred primarily through telephone conversations. In contrast, today there are several communication options available for planning with different departments within an organization. Video conferencing options such as the Internet, HD webcams, and services such as Skype have simplified this process (Toperczer, 2011). Therefore, planning obstacles, such as departments located in different states or countries, have been improved with this technology. Another area that has pushed planning in today's business community is the approval of legislation from the government sector. The government sector is a subcategory of the general environment (Daft, 2013, p. 150). Bills such as the passage of Obamacare in 2010, also known as the Affordable Care Act and the Dodd-Frank Act, have created far-reaching control over the U.S. government. In the 1990s, small businesses competed with large corporations that had… a transnational model that would lead the company to success. Areas that can be addressed using a transnational model for a global company are improving coordination, faster knowledge transfer, and simplifying complexity (Daft, 2013, p. 247). Applying a biblical worldview will increase in difficulty due to different cultures and languages. However, showing God's love to others can make your business stand out, and God will bless those who show His love to others. Our job is to be obedient to God and live our lives as a living sacrifice. Therefore, the fruit of the spirit would be an appropriate guideline for transnational global businesses. “But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. There is no law against such things!” (New Living Translation, Galatians 5:22-23)
