The excitement grows in my chest every time. Pull into the overcrowded car park, with spaces reserved for toy cars. It's a very tight squeeze, but I have to feed my addiction. As I approach the door I hear a sound that reminds me of thunder rumbling from inside. This is a sound I love hearing along with my daughter's laughter as it echoes through the building. There is an inner peace that I can't explain and it starts with watching JaKiyyah's eyes shine as bright as the moon floating idle and peaceful above us. Waiting in line to get our shoes, I distract myself by admiring the bright lights. Watching the lights bounce off the walls, giving off a disco vibe. The music that flows softly, the thunder that rumbles and the clash of balls and pins puts me in a trance. I take a break from my daydream of the late '60s and early '70s to ask for our shoes. I ask my regular assistant for a size seven for women and a size two for children with extra disinfectant spray. The attendant smiles with a friendly expression, shakes the can of disinfectant and sprays two extra squirts into our room....
