Even if I do the work and get a good grade, I always feel uncertain before posting a blog or turning in my final assignment. Even though the entire topic of the course is not foreign to me, it has become a challenge for me to write about it. The homework reading materials and blogs have been very helpful to me so far this semester. I found a lot of inspiration for both the literacy narrative and the rhetorical analysis paper using materials like “Fish Cheeks” and “Tender At The Bone.” I also feel that the Harbrace Manual has helped me design the best MLA format possible and has been a great tool to use when I'm not sure how to format. I think I do quality work when I blog and I do my homework on time, read the materials, annotate, and blog when I'm done so I can fully understand the pieces. When I write a blog I don't just write about what the material was about, but also how I felt and interpreted the text. Included in the SCSU English Department's official goals and objectives for ENG 112: Composition II is a section dedicated to blogging and reading responses. “Blogging (reading responses and other assigned writing to post there): 15%”, I feel my blogs are adequate and posted on time to receive the full 15% towards my overall grade. Sometimes I think too much about a certain assignment or reading and underestimate my abilities , the writing center, the materials and advice from you and my colleagues, I think I got a good grade overall in this course and have high hopes for myself to continue this semester.
