Have you ever been so stressed that you had to step aside for a few moments and close your eyes, pretending to be completely elsewhere? There are many things in life that I look forward to doing. Through boring tasks every day, I can't help but fantasize about the things I'd most rather do. Sometimes it might be as simple as enjoying a coffee ice cream shake. For the most part, however, I fantasize about my favorite non-food items. A warm, sunny day with a light breeze. A picnic at my favorite stream. Long journeys with great songs and a friend. While these are all great ideas, I have to say there's one day off activity that I'm a real expert at: the ultimate retreat: the lazy day on the couch. Expert planning for a lazy day on the couch includes sourcing the necessary items, food, and clothing. There are many components to a perfect day. First, you need to have the necessary items to make a lazy day just that: LAZY. These items include, but are not limited to, a wide assortment of films and books. To fully anticipate the changing moods and interests of a lazy man lying there, there must be at least six movie genres. Action, romance, comedy, horror, suspense and mystery. The books need to be varied, but not necessarily by genre. I usually like to have at least three of my old favorites on standby and two or three new books waiting to be read. Without these things, you run the risk of getting bored and lazy, which isn't as much fun as just being lazy. Extra blankets and padded couch cushions are a must. There is no wiggle room on this matter. Without soft pillows, your lazy day becomes an uncomfortable fiasco. I hope you are taking notes here... very im...... middle of paper ...... convenience is absolutely necessary. Slippers are an added bonus, but socks will do. Slipper socks are fabulous, as they can be worn under extra blankets. If you have long hair, it needs to be pulled back into a ponytail. Days spent relaxing are therapeutic and stress-relieving. Sometimes the only thing that gets me through a tough day is visualizing the next happy, lazy day. I love nothing more than curling up on the couch with my pups and watching cheesy chick flicks. If you use expert lazy day planning for items, food, and clothing, you can experience maximum leisure happiness. Those unproductive hours are sometimes more beneficial than therapy hours. Having time to relax and unwind is something many people rarely get to give themselves. But even if it's only a few hours, I highly recommend lazing around. A little time for yourself never hurt anyone. Have fun.
