Child neglect and abuse are an unfortunate reality for many children today. It can have significant impacts on children's development until they become adults. Unfortunately it goes unnoticed until the damage is already done. Parents are the ones who should take care of their child. The consequences of a child being abused as a young person can last long after the neglect has occurred. People who have children and are not ready to be parents. Scaring the child for life because they decided it was fun to beat them and abuse them mentally, and some even sexually. The effects can manifest themselves in all aspects of life, rather than being psychological or behavioral. There are three main effects of neglect and abuse which can range from minor physical injuries, to not getting along with others, or it can become aggressive and affect them later in life. One effect a child faces is feeling whether or not he or she belongs. Not. As a child his parents are the ones he looks up to. A child is supposed to feel safe in his own home, but instead some fear his life on a daily basis. Sometimes a parent may become physically or mentally incapable of caring for their child. The parent may be depressed, have an alcohol or drug problem to even have the right judgment to keep their child safe. Adults who simply don't understand their children's needs. As a child the parent may not have received the right kind of care growing up, so in their mind they are not doing anything wrong. Some parents are unable to provide only the child's basic needs, such as food, clothing, or even supervision. Some children also grow up with parents who fight all the time, either in a physical way or simply by yelling. Parents of this type of marriage... at the center of the card... a minor abuse consisting of harm to a child by a parent. The physical injury will most likely result in hitting, kicking, shaking, throwing or whipping. Another type of abuse is sexual abuse. It is mainly believed to be sexual activity with a child or any type of physical activity such as fondling, sexual abuse or forced sexual acts. In conclusion, child abuse and neglect are more common in the lives of children today. A child can be hurt and be right in front of us and we don't even know it. We need to pay attention to the signs and symptoms to try to help a child. We may not even realize it until it is too late.
