The release of excess CO2, due to the large-scale deforestation of forests, is a long-term problem, as it makes the earth habitable by animals and humans. This comes at a large economic cost to the environment as the area is no longer capable of being of any use and is also destroying the atmosphere. Some people wouldn't understand what effect this deforestation actually has on the world. Most people would understand that trees create oxygen, however, they would not be aware that when trees are cut down they release CO2 into the atmosphere, which is harming the Earth. The problem is that illegal loggers and large industrial corporations are selfish and don't care about the destructive effects, so they will continue to deforest the land as long as they benefit from it. Planting more trees can potentially reverse the damage of deforestation, however there is no clear-cut solution to this
