1. Introduction: Being a new wealth for the organization, companies are noticing that talent is the treasure of the company. In the twenty-first century, organizations are facing human capital challenges which are also called the “war for talent” (Ashton and Morton, L. 2005; McKinsey, 1990). As a precious treasure, talents that can improve business performance and create contributions to the company become the focus of attention, especially in the context of talent shortage. Cappelli (2008) notes that the rising star is worth fighting. Exceptional talent is critical for businesses to gain competitive advantages (Iles et al., 2010). For a successful company, talented people play a central role. Therefore, talent management becomes increasingly important for the success of companies. The purpose of this article is to analyze personal experiences in the human resources department of China Merchants Bank (CMB) through a literature review. This article begins with a discussion of the definitions of talent and talent management. In the third part, the meaning of talent management will be illustrated. Fourth, this work will distinguish between human resource management and talent management. It will develop the fundamental processes of talent management. In the following sections, his theoretical arguments for talent management barriers and criticisms are shown in the fifth section. Finally, the writer's personal experience when he worked at China Merchants Bank will be analysed.2.
