Topic > Binge Drinking In Scotton Essay - 1878

INTRODUCTION This investigation concerns the comparison of the binge drinking habits of people of all ages in Wales and also in Scotland. I chose to compare Scotland and Wales because research has shown that Scotland is the worst country in the UK for binge drinking and my aim is to find out why. This survey aims to answer the following: How much of a problem is binge drinking in Wales? • How much of a problem is binge drinking in Scotland? • How does each country address the problem? Definition of binge drinking (http: //www.drinkaware.co.uk/facts/binge-drinking? This usually means double the amount considered healthy by the NHS. beer) and 2-3 units of alcohol for women (equivalent to a 175 ml glass of wine). I also think I have chosen a very interesting topic to analyze. The main weakness was time management because I found it difficult to get people to fill out my questionnaires. I found it difficult to find recent information and there were many results from around 2004, so it took me longer to find recent information. The thing I would do differently if I did my study again would be that I would use more newspapers as there may be cases of captains that have been put in place to reduce excessive alcohol consumption instead of using many internet pages as I have found not all of them are accurate. If I were to do this study again, maybe I would change my questionnaires to something simpler since it seems that people don't have much knowledge about binge drinking, so they couldn't answer my questionnaire efficiently.
