My interest in applying for the Master in Sustainability, Society and Environment dates back to November 2011, when I volunteered for four months at an NGO called Mountain Cleaners (Dharamsala, India). waste collection projects and cleanup excursions, I discovered that working for the environment was in fact a natural calling that I was destined to follow. However, after three years of running a travel business, my career in this industry was in full swing. So, after my volunteering stint, when I was offered the Project Manager position at Mountain Cleaners, it involved an occupational risk. However, I took the leap and accepted the position. My role here has been defined by the need of the hour, with no set boundaries, but always with an undaunted mission to work towards a cleaner India.
