The three film posters I will analyze are Psycho, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and Thunderball. Using these concepts I will analyze these posters and their remakes and see what changes, if any, were between the years the films were released. Feminism/Male Gaze The first film and its remake that I will talk about is Psycho. Psycho was released in 1960, it is an American horror thriller directed by Alfred Hitchcock. One of the main themes of this film is feminism. There has been much discussion about whether Hitchcock was a feminist or not and whether his beliefs were connected to his films.
