Culture defines an organism's environmental experiences (Santrock, 2012). Positive educational environments such as family and peers have left an impact on their language and cognitive development. Language development facilitates teaching and learning and is closely related to reading and writing skills (Berk, 2001 in Haliza, Joy & Rafidah, 2008). Cognitive development emphasizes the development of the child's mind in his ability to think, express opinions, understand, memorize events that occur in the surrounding environment (Haliza, et al., 2008).
