Topic > Effective Communication and Team Building Efforts

Making a ChangeThe leader must learn and develop a solid understanding of communication skills that will enable him to build an excellent team in his organization because without effective communication, they will be described in organizational objective, stress , confusion and frustration between the leader and team members and can lead to a reduction in organizational success. The leader must have open communication skills to facilitate and support the change process because each staff will react differently to any organizational change. At this time, provide excellent training and ensure that all team members are going in the same direction because “The primary role of a leader is to guide and lead” according to Wise, Patricia S., and Karren Kowalski (1998). Strategies for Change Effective communication is a very vital element in any organizational change because without it, the leader of the organization may not be able to build a strong team that enables him to achieve organizational goals. Therefore it is very important that the leader communicates in all ways, i.e. through a 1:1 conversation with his employee, phone calls, emails, via website, and he doses all this with respect. The leader must also have an open door to allow feedback to flow effectively between him and him team members. He doses them to make sure everyone on the team understands his message and is all on the same page. Communication is very important for effective team building. The success of a team is often measured by that team's cohesion as well as its productivity. According to Carr (2000), Leaders and managers look forward to seeing tangible results from the team, and team leaders are a......middle of paper......nge”, Corporate Communications: An International Journal , vol. 7 No. 4, pp. 219-31.
