Google is considered a search engine. It helps to get any information worldwide based on keywords. It is the first popular search engine in the world and has been around for seventeen years. Apart from the search engine, it also provides users with other services such as Google Map, Google Video, Google News, Google Calendar and many more. Google's founders are Larry Page and Sergey Brin, who met at Stanford in 1995 and began collaborating. on a service engine called BackRub in 1996 which later registered as Google.com in 1997. Google takes its name from the word googol, a mathematical term for the number represented by the number 1 followed by 100 zeros and with the mission of organizing the quantity infinite amount of information on the web. In March 2001 Eric Schmidt was named chairman of the board and opened the first international office in Tokyo, Japan, the same year Eric Schmidt became CEO and Larry and Dergey became presidents of product and technology. Google has more than 47,000 employees including more than 10,000 software developers based in more than 40 offices. Google has developed more and more in recent years along with its services and products, starting as a search engine tool and progressively becoming advertising services, communication and publishing tools, development tools, map-related products, statistical tools and so on.
