With the growing acceptance of its legality, people may embrace the benefits of reduced crime and pressure on the criminal justice system; relief of symptoms and perhaps even cell reconstruction; and revenue obtained by legalizing the production and sale of medical marijuana. The legalization of marijuana has negative effects, but the benefits of its legalization outweigh them. It's time for the government to stop being too proud to admit that it has mislabeled a drug that will benefit society and jump on the legalization bandwagon towards a healthier and more progressive world.
