Most students aspire to attend college, but some do not expect the enormous pressure that will be placed on them to attend the best school. Young adults think that receiving a high grade point average, performing community service, and taking part in various extracurricular activities during high school will guarantee a spot at any college, but it's not as simple as it might seem. Students are pressured by their peers to achieve the highest standards throughout high school in order to receive a letter of acceptance. This peer pressure to attend the best college is caused by the fear that other students will take more advanced classes, get better test scores, and participate in more activities to have a better application.
