Diversity among people"Each person's world map is as unique as each person's fingerprint. No two people are the same. No two people understand the same sentence at same way... So in dealing with people, you try not to fit them into your concept of what they should be." (Milton Erickson)We are all distinct and united by differences and similarities depending on our gender, culture, language, age, race, sexual identity and in many cases income level. There are these qualities of diversity that challenge our intellect and emotions as we learn to work and live together in harmony. Diversity is not just about gender, skin color, ethnic origin, religion, speaking different languages or belonging to a different culture, it is also about thinking and expressing things differently. One thing that plays a very important role is "language", what we as people communicate with. A language can unite a nation and separate it at the same time. In today's society, unfortunately, if you don't speak the language most people speak, you are often humiliated and even ignored. And in the same society being "different" is not easy. What I mean by different is having a different background, speaking "broken English" (Tan), being part of a different culture. Even though most of us know that this Nation is formed on diversity, people have not yet learned to tolerate each other's differences and somehow learn from them, however, with each passing day more and more people still realize that more than these differences make us who we are express yourself and our opinion on others. As humans, we have a unique linguistic ability that gives expression to our many groups paper in the United States that should serve as a comparative study of the different cultural contributions, experiences, or worldviews of two or more racial or ethnic minority groups in the United States . The course should focus on the study of the social, economic, political, or psychological dimensions of relations between and among racial, ethnic, and gender groups in the United States. All these criteria would help people learn how to deal with diversity and become more knowledgeable about it. There are many people in this world of ours and they are all different, they are part of a different religion, gender, background and with a different sexual identity and what unites us all is the understanding that we are all unique and giving each other an opportunity to express our ideas and opinions, we grow as individuals and learn to appreciate others for who they are.home
