Piercy mentions "get to work with your head down" (2); illustrates that people start work right away. Show another example; with “swimming away with confident strokes almost out of sight” gives us a clear image of speed and energetic power in moving forward (4). Although she, in my poem, “looking back at yesterday” means that people care about what happened in the past. While they think about the past, they are already left behind by people already starting to work. Furthermore, “roar in silent films” provides the image of falling behind or even behind because silent films represent the events of the past.
