It is often said that necessity is the mother of invention and that technology is driven by need. So it is technology that creates an invention. Engineers cultivate technology, so it is the engineer's job to bring about sustainable technological change. The machines and mechanization that determine this technological progress have always fascinated me. I first encountered a car, my bicycle, when I was in seventh grade. I once became interested in the mechanism of the bicycle when the chain slipped on the sprocket. The efforts I made to implement this and also to replace the worn brake friction pads piqued my interest in cars. I scored 91.23% in my 10th grade exams and then opted for a vocational subject, Mechanical Maintenance. As part of the curriculum, I was exposed to rough lathes and milling machines. I started doing small jobs on these machines and adapting work on bench vises from the age of 16. My 12th grade exams placed me among the top 10 students in my college. I got 90% on my exams and got 192/200 in Mechanical Maintenance. The 2009 AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Exam) placed me in the top 3% of students out of 100,000 who took the exam. The four years of my undergraduate education provided me with in-depth exposure to the various specialties available in mechanical engineering, thus stimulating my interest in advanced research. I faced a temporary setback during my second year of engineering when I failed to pass a practical exam test for the topic ENGINE IC. I saw this as an opportunity to study that topic once again, this time in more depth. I surpassed that practice in my next attempt and in the next two years of engine... mid-paper... seasoned entrepreneur and at the same time continue to contribute in the field of operations research and industrial automation. My immediate goal is to work towards a master's degree in Industrial Engineering. I am aware of the kind of dedication, perseverance and decisiveness I need for a fruitful career as an industrial engineer. I believe my background not only qualified me technically but also gave me the right mindset for such a career. An assistantship, in addition to providing financial support, would give me valuable research experience and place me in a good position in my career. I wish to state that I will make the most of all the opportunities given to me, pursue my goals with all dedication and live up to the high standards set by Texas A&M University. I sincerely hope that my application for admission will be favorably received.
