I can say that this was the blend that inculcated my passion for engineering and I started looking at things from the point of engineering view. I was born in 'DETROIT OF INDIA-PUNE', a city which had many global car and truck manufacturing plants. As a child living in the locality surrounded by companies manufacturing cars/trucks and other automotive accessories, he was fascinated from the state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and the. My inclination towards automobiles grew when I first visited TATA MOTORS, Asia's leading car manufacturer, in the eighth grade of school with my uncle who worked there amused by the huge machinery, automation and world-class technology there I decided to initially pursue "Mechanical Engineering" as a bachelor's degree and later a Master's in Automotive Engineering, the only way to satisfy my quest for knowledge and thus contribute to it in a positive and constructive way towards the automotive industry. Mobility has influenced many areas of human life since the invention of the wheel. While in the early days of motor vehicles technical developments focused on simple mechanical or electrical issues, in recent decades electronics and with them microprocessor technology have become a central part of innovation in vehicles. Future trendsetting developments will be the conversion of the powertrain from the purely internal combustion engine to hybrid or alternative propulsion systems, car-to-car communication and autonomous vehicles. Challenge… half of the paper… learn the engineering aspects of automotive engineering initially through an undergraduate degree and then as an automotive engineer on the job. Given the huge expansion of numerous automotive multinationals in India, as well as the hordes of Indian companies conducting business with foreign partners, create ample opportunities for automotive engineers. I can foresee huge potential for this field here. It would be a real pleasure and honor for me if I get a chance to pursue my graduate studies at your esteemed university and be associated with talented professors at the Department of Automotive Engineering. Having an understanding of my strengths and weaknesses makes me confident to do justice to any opportunity given to me and bring kudos to the institution.
