Final Document: DeforestationDeforestation is a major environmental problem in today's world. We deforest areas for money, jobs, supplies, to build, and even to raise beef. But what happens to the forest when we do that, a lot of things happen. For a few moments some areas become deserted, this also contributes to a long-term increase in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and disrupts the water cycle in the area. In this way we are impacting the earth and animals on a large scale. With deforestation, animals must find new homes or die, most animals become extinct due to this act. Deforestation causes global warming and decreases our oxygen levels. If we continue to deforest areas, in the next 30 years there will be no rainforest left. Without trees we would have nothing to stop greenhouse gases from affecting our atmosphere. We could do all this without causing harm to our planet by sustaining the areas we have deforested.
