When I was a freshman at Assumption University (AU), my friend Bee often asked me to help him with his business because I majored in public speaking and communications. I can speak multiple languages fluently: Cantonese, English, Thai and a little Spanish. He designed many styles of clothing for his business, so he wanted me to help him promote and sell them. This was the first time I experienced real business. Through this, I learned that business is much more complex than just knowledge and theories. This made me realize that simply understanding the theories is not enough, it matters how well I implement them in real situations, which is, in my opinion, the key success factor. Since my childhood, I always wanted to study Economics because both my parents are traders. I've always been curious about how the real world works. This is why I got interested in business. In my opinion, business is parallel to our life. In both business and life, we face many difficulties, and how they are resolved depends on the decisions we make. However, among the thousands of decisions we make in our personal lives, only a few will be significant, but in business every decision is. A single decision can determine the future of the entire company and the lives of thousands of people. My life's aspiration is to own a business and to achieve this goal you need to take many steps. I know becoming a successful entrepreneur won't be easy, but as Colin Powell once said: “There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work and learning from failures.” I couldn't agree with him more. This is why I want to get a business degree. I want to improve my understanding of t...... middle of paper ...... work and attitude are the main key to success, just like Henry Ford once said: "Whether you think you can or you can't be able to do it" —you're right." Along with this, I had strengthened my morals and beliefs in life. This unique but precious experience I had helped me develop courage, patience and responsibility. There are two reasons why I wanted to study at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). First, I want to experience the traditions and cultures of my home country. The opportunity to study at HKBU will not only increase my chances of future success, but will also allow me to reconnect with my homeland. Secondly, HKBU offers the degree that matches my interests very well and will benefit me the most throughout my life. Therefore, I believe that HKBU offers the best tools and equipment for my education and prepares me for even greater challenges in the next phase of my life.
