The Call to Rewarding Service Believers in Christ are the luckiest people in the world. The reasons for this are very numerous. Our calling is a blessed calling, our calling is without regret – you cannot regret following Jesus with all your heart, our calling is a calling to holiness, our calling is a calling out of uncertainty into certainty , our calling is an out-of-this-world call to the Lord and our Creator, our calling is a calling from death to life – this life is quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative because it is eternal life (John 3:16), and Qualitative because it is abundant life (John 10:10). Our calling is a calling from the darkness of the world to the wonderful light of God. But we should understand that our calling is not to a religion but to a person: Jesus. Our calling is to life and service. That's what I'm going to talk about today. Our call comes from a merciful and generous God who Himself initiated the call. God is very merciful and benevolent to us human beings. The Lord Jesus said to His disciples: “It is not you who have chosen me, but I have chosen you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you, (John 15:16). From this statement we can believe that our calling is to salvation and service. This verse is one of my favorites in the Bible. It tells us the purpose of our calling. The second part of our Purpose Statement says, “To teach the Word of God to increase freedom, promote Christian maturity, and bind people to God for service.” You can see that this statement is in line with the Bible. We are not in the church to observe a religion; we are in the church to serve inside and outside the church, according to John 15:16, we are to bear fruit inside and outside the church. In the church, each of us is designed to serve our fellow Christian within the church. church with the gifts of God that the Lord has given us, we must also go out and preach the Gospel to those outside the church with love and kindness towards them, to show them the way of life.
