JK Rowling has greatly influenced fantasy writing forever. His multimillion-dollar Harry Potter series empire has sold millions of copies of books in over thirty-five different languages, and the Harry Potter film series has grossed over a million dollars at the box office. It has created a whole new world, a world that millions of people around the world can connect to. JK Rowling has inspired many, including myself, to write and make your life what you want it to be. I would like to spend the day with JK Rowling because it is thanks to her that I learned to love reading and writing, and because she could teach me many things. Joanne Rowling was born on July 31, 1965 in Yate, England. Since she was a child, Rowling wrote short stories. “I would use these stories to entertain my little sister,” Rowling said in an interview for The Biography Channel. Rowling moved around a lot during her childhood, through her elementary and high school years. She graduated from the University of Exeter where she received a degree in French and classics. After graduating, she moved to Portugal to teach English. While in Portugal, Rowling met Jorge Arantes, who would become her future husband. They married in 1992 and had daughter Jessica in 1993. After her marriage ended in divorce shortly after her daughter's birth, Rowling moved to Edinburgh, Scotland with her daughter Jessica. As she struggled to support herself and her daughter, Rowling began writing a book to try to help support their financial needs. The book would have been called "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone", an idea Rowling had had during a late train journey on her way to Portugal. Worked on the book for about...half of paper... ...the largest pre-order book in the history of Barnes and Nobles. Rowling has also received numerous awards for her writing. He received "Author of the Year", "Lifetime Achievement" and "British Book Awards" in 1999 and . 2008. He also received the "Author of the Year" award from the Booksellers' Association in 1998 and 1999. In summary, I would like to spend the day with JK Rowling because she made me realize my love for reading and writing. He's created something that everyone around the world can relate to, something that people can go to when they need a break from reality. I would also like to spend the day with her because she can teach me so much about being creative, and how to get me out of bad times. He is an inspiration to me and many others. JK Rowling is now the best-selling author of all time and deserves that title one hundred percent.
