In this ever-changing world, being able to establish a consistent area of focus is as difficult as being able to choose the perfect car. Each new course promises a new career option, each new area of research suggests a new profession, and each new product invites future updates. This plethora of choices inspires or perplexes. In my case I was lucky enough to experience the first result. The branch of mechanical engineering drew me into its reassuring yet exciting embrace from an early age. The idea of a conventional parent branch like mechanical engineering conceiving advanced applications based on interdisciplinary design like biomechanics and robotics seemed irresistible. The passion for science was already deeply rooted in me during my school days, when I built various projects and models at the science fair every year. My first multidisciplinary project was a human model fabricated to demonstrate the blood circulatory system using a mini centrifugal pump, red colored water and clear tubing. KIT's College of Engineering, which is the premier engineering college affiliated to Shivaji University, India, was my platform for undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering. Together with satisfactory academics, I explored the field of mechanical engineering by developing innovative projects and participating in numerous competitions. Winning an international technical event at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in 2012 was a personal milestone. In this case, I had designed a device that could climb ropes using hydraulic power and was fabricated using medical syringes. Furthermore, in my fifth semester, I had developed a pneumatic cannon capable of bombarding projectiles up to 150 meters accurately by varying the......center of the paper......signage projects in the center also attracted the my attention. Having taken courses like “Advanced Product Design”, “Graduate Design Projects”, “Medical Device Design”, “Mechatronics and Robotics 1” and others in the list have further sparked in me a strong desire to be a part of this enriching environment . I hope to be viewed positively, therefore allowing my interests to evolve fruitfully. Ultimately I will be very happy to contribute my knowledge and keen research aptitude to the program in the best way possible. I hope to further justify this opportunity by seeking relevant industry experience and ultimately venturing into independent product and device development. My entrepreneurial goal will not only serve to satiate my professional purpose, but, if successful, will serve to satisfy the social aspect of scientific studies in general.
