“Why banning the use of cell phones while driving should be mandatory nationwide” Imagine it's a beautiful summer day. Bright sun. The windows of your car are rolled down and the cool air blows your hair in the wind. As you turn down a side street, you see a car coming towards you. You slow down expecting the other driver to slow down too; but it's not like that. Scared, you hit the brakes, honk your horn to get their attention. Finally, the other driver slams on the brakes. His cell phone flies out of the window as the car comes to an abrupt stop. I missed hitting you by a few inches!!! Disturbed, you get out of the car, take the cell phone and give it back to him. “Are you okay,” you ask? She replies: “Yes. I am fine. I was on my cell phone and I didn't see you. I'm glad you honked." Shaken, at his response you get back in the car and drive away, grateful that things didn't go as they could have. A fatal car accident!! Unfortunately, this story is true; in fact it's mine story. It's been about five years since this accident happened; I'm happy to have been able to tell the story. However, this is not the end for many others who lose their lives in accidents caused by drivers distracted by cell phone use Cell phone use, while driving, can create distractions that can lead to serious accidents; the worst case scenario would be death. We can join together to ban the use of cell phones while driving. Banning cell phone use while driving will help prevent accidents and unnecessary deaths. Drivers who talk or text while driving are less aware of surrounding road conditions and major cell phone companies have joined... half the paper......t the phone aside. I stated previously that cell phone use while driving can create distractions that can lead to serious accidents; the worst case scenario would be death. So many lives have been affected and we must join forces to end cell phone use while operating a motor vehicle. Once again I say it; Banning cell phone use while driving will help prevent unnecessary accidents and deaths. I also pointed out that motorists who talk or text while driving are less aware of surrounding road conditions, and the major mobile phone companies have banded together to raise awareness of the dangers of cell phone use while driving. That said, as the wise saying goes where there is unity there is strength. (Unknown). Strength is in numbers. The only way we can keep this ban going is if we all agree and fight for it. Let's make it happen!!
