Due to my love of children and lack of a summer job, I have always had time for little ones. I love kids, what else can I say, so it was no surprise when I volunteered countless hours at the local after-school program with the most exuberant group of kids I've ever met. After summer in eighth grade, my career goals fell into my lap and began to shape me. However, as a regular employee, I have faithfully come to the "Work"; volunteering from 7:30 to 5:30 at night. This was life! To have the opportunity to spend day after day with children of all ages, teaching them new skills and creating new activities, I was excited and willing to come every morning and spend time with "my kids", because I felt that they had need me! I didn't have to work as late as I used to, or come at all, because my community service hours had been completed the year before, with more than 100 already under my belt. But I worked nine-hour shifts because I liked being with the kids. I enjoyed teaching new steps and dances in the clubs in the afternoon, and I enjoyed teaching the nursery children their manners.....
