Spain and the Ming Dynasty were two very different places on Earth. Yet, in some ways they had been similar. Rulers had killed or expelled people they didn't agree with or both simply had their own ways of organizing. But there seemed to be more differences. Spain had conquered the Americas and had not separated state from church and the Ming did not expand much or involve religion in politics. Therefore, Spain had broader goals towards imperialism, Christianity, and keeping the country in a “pure” state with only hereditary Christians, while the Ming Dynasty focused more on unity, acceptance of all religions, and on keeping the court as balanced as possible. The Spanish rulers and the founder of the Ming Dynasty were similar in that they killed people they thought were wrong or who did not agree with them. Spanish rulers massacred and expelled many Jews because Jews had “Jewish blood” and “blood purity” laws prevented Jews from gaining any kind of respect or recognition.
