Bangladesh is almost as large as the state of Iowa and lies to the right of India, along the Indian Ocean. I still remember bits and pieces of my first trip to Bangladesh in 2004. I was only about 6 years old when I first went, and it was just a whole new world that I was trying to understand. It is truly a trip to remember. I also had the amazing opportunity to return and visit with my entire family a second time in 2012. Bangladesh was previously known as East Pakistan and only got the official right to be called Bangladesh in 1971. Sheikh Mujib was the leader of Bangladesh time, and was arrested and taken to West Pakistan due to his intense freedom movements in Bangladesh. India helped Bangladesh gain freedom by offering military assistance. Around 10 million Bengalis fled to India to seek refuge during the war. Soon after the war ended, Sheikh Mujib returned home to Bangladesh and became prime minister. Soon after, a Bangladeshi anthem and flag were also put up and patriotism was in every creak and corner of the country. Yeasmin 2Later in 1975, Sheikh Mujib became president of Bangladesh. At that point the political situation in Bangladesh was very bad. In 1977 the Islamic religion was officially adopted in the constitution of Bangladesh. Bangladesh's economy has improved significantly since then. The infant mortality rate has declined generously, and the life expectancy rate of a typical person has increased by 10 years. Bangladesh is one of the countries... at the center of the paper... under mass rubble, which lasted 20 days and ended on May 13 with the death of 1,129 people. To sum up, Bangladesh is indeed a gender issue. dominant and very correct in his ways. About a third of Bangladesh's population lives in poverty, and even a good percentage of those who work, have very low income, paycheck to paycheck jobs; most of the time the working conditions and environments are not very suitable. Bangladesh is also a major producer of clothing and apparel in the world, producing and exporting clothing to many parts of the world. Yes 8Poverty is a huge problem in Bangladesh; but it is being addressed slowly as technologies and other factors are improved.
