Several states such as Alaska, Colorado, Arizona, Hawaii, Maryland, Iowa, Kansas, and New York, to name a few, are considering this legislative session 'year. The New York Legislature currently has 4 right-to-die bills pending. Since January 2015 there has been an ongoing rebuttal. Some of the legislation is all in favor of the bill and sees no harm in letting a terminally ill person make the decision. Others in the legislation believe it would be misused by greedy people who encourage sick people to die to get their inheritance early. Or mentally ill people use it as a legal way out to commit suicide. The government needs to discuss the bill with a clear mind, but it is difficult with so many opinions. Other states such as Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Michigan, Mississippi and Texas have not contemplated legislative activity this year. There are some negative concerns about this bill. Many people fear that if a person chooses the right to die it will affect that person's life, health and/or accident insurance. Also the worry about their income.
