Introduction In this essay we will be introduced to a leader who holds a high place of authority in the military and gain some personal insights into leadership and management. Then we will look at the writer's personality traits and which leadership model the personality traits match best. Then look at the principles of motivation and how this writer's personality fits into these principles. Also consider the relationship between effective communication and motivation. Finally, we'll look at some thoughts on what it takes to be an effective employee, a successful manager, and an exemplary citizen. Interview The first part of this week's assignment was to interview a manager/leader we admire and seek his opinion on management.
