LARC is a non-profit organization based in Lafayette, Louisiana. For over 50 years the company has helped disabled citizens maintain a higher quality of life. Their mission is “to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving their goals of self-sufficiency, quality of life and self-esteem.” LARC offers community support, residential and vocational services. They also own and operate Acadian Village, which plays an important role in the relief funds. To qualify for LARC services, individuals must meet special requirements such as applying through the Acadiana Area Human Services District (formerly OCDD). Since the company is a non-profit organization, donations are critical to the company's success. Community members and local organizations are the main sources of donations, so ongoing interaction with them is a critical step in obtaining donations. The LARC website serves as your primary communication tool with the public, so it is important that the site is set up to achieve the company's goals. Through the use of Google Analytics software, company interviews, survey responses, and team evaluations, our team collected and analyzed data from LARC's website. We then used that data to make three actionable recommendations that we believe will help LARC achieve its goals by maximizing the effectiveness of its site. Our recommendations, discussed in detail later in the document, include strategic measures to increase value, donations and traffic to LARC's existing website.
