I snuck out of the house to attend the demonstration, which included a motorcade and a march. Although I was very intimidated at first, by the end of the event I felt more comfortable and understood how my fervor and passion for social and political change could be realized. I met so many inspiring, friendly, welcoming people who showed me that working for social change is possible and made me consider a career in community and non-profit.
