Boko Haram is against Western-style education. The group has taken the lives of thousands of Nigerians and created military operations. The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has shown discontent with the inability of the Nigerian army to defeat the Islamic group. He recently launched a new army in the hope that this army will be able to defeat the group. However, some believe it would be impossible to defeat Boko Haram as the group is better armed and motivated than other armies. I believe that a united West African army against this group could have sufficient strength to defeat them. Such a coalition, even without the direct defeat of Boko Haram, will be able to forge alliances with non-West African countries that may be willing to fight alongside it.
