Jesus was sent to Earth by God, his father, to be rejected, suffer and die, that we might have salvation from our sins. During his time on Earth, Jesus took on various roles and gathered many followers. Some of the roles Jesus took on while on Earth were: teacher, healer, miracle worker, spiritual leader, and savior. Through his sacrifice, people of all nations are saved from their sins, as long as they have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. In the book of Isaiah there are numerous prophecies, in which they predict a Messiah who will save the Jewish people. According to Isaiah, a virgin woman will give birth to a son, who will be a descendant of David. This man will suffer, die, and willfully accept the punishment for our sins and will save those who believe in him (New American Bible Version, Isaiah 7:14, 11:1, 53:4, 53:7-8, 53:12 ). Jesus meets all the requirements of a Jewish Messiah in Isaiah's prophecies. In the city of Nazareth, a young woman named Mary, betrothed to Joseph, was visited by an angel. This angel told her that she would conceive a child, who would be the son of God. Joseph did not believe that she remained faithful to him and would privately divorce her. An angel appeared to Joseph and told him of God's plan. Mary and Joseph then traveled to Bethlehem to register for the census. When they arrived in Bethlehem, Mary had gone into labor and they tried to find a place to give birth. They found a stable and then Jesus was born and was visited by shepherds and wise men. (NAB Matt. 1:18-25, 2:1-11)Jesus was born the Son of God and part of the trinity. According to Giles, "since the three divine Persons are the one God, the Scriptures consistently picture the Father, the Son, a...... middle of paper ......ified, dead and buried, and three days in Then he was resurrected to save humanity from our sins. According to Luke: “They found the stone moved from the tomb; but when they entered they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus Christ. While they were perplexed, two men in dazzling robes appeared to them, asking: «Why do you seek among the dead the one who is alive? He is not here, but has risen.” (NAB Luke 24:2-6) Jesus was sent to Earth by God, his father, to be rejected, to suffer, and to die, so that we might have salvation from our sins and gathered many followers.
