Depending on who you're talking to, reactions to the term can range from excitement to disgust, and that can be true for me, too. Two texts, however, that must help me reshape my thinking about evangelism and how to talk about it are The Mystic Way of Evangelism by Elaine Heath and Graceful Evangelism by Francis Adeney. Both of these texts approach evangelism in a graceful, humble, and respectful way and emphasize that evangelism is a way of life and not just something we do in the hope of new converts. This is a necessity for every church that not only hopes to grow, but to bring about transformation of its community and community
