RAM is used for caching, which means that when the computer is running, programs use this hardware for quick access and have saved memory temporarily for applications that are deleted once the computer is turned down. A CPU is what does most of the information processing in the computer, it tells what each part should do, and it also processes requests; whether it's turning on a cooling fan or accepting information to provide word processing. It is very important that the CPU is well cooled as it generates a lot of thermal energy. This heat is dissipated using a CPU cooler which often consists of a heat sink and a fan. The latest technology uses liquid cooling and a radiator, which is a quiet solution to keeping the CPU cool. The GPU is what processes graphics to create a display. Some graphics cards are powerful enough to allow viewing on multiple displays. A higher performance graphics card requires direct connection to power as the motherboard cannot keep up with the card's power consumption. Graphics cards can be combined to work together to process graphics. A connection cable
